Rolf Haerem: Born in 1944 in England, is a painter and graphic artist.
He was born into a family of artists. In England he studied art at Abbotsholme School, Derby Art School and Macclesfield Art School. Moving to the United States in his early 20's he continued his fine art studies at the undergraduate level at Pratt Institute, NY and received his BFA from The Cooper Union School of Art and Architecture in 1971.
He received his MFA degree in fine arts from the State University of New York at New Paltz in 1980. He was also a painting instructor and drawing instructor in the Department of Continuing Education at SUNY New Paltz.
In 1995-1996 he studied Fine Arts at the Escuela de Artes Plastica's San Juan in Puerto Rico.
In 1989 he founded the artist's oil paint company, RGH Artist Oil Paints Inc. The company continues and thrives to the present.
He has been a student of Buddhism since the late 1970's.
